Eric H. Anderson
Eric H. Anderson is a vigorous advocate with experience in Criminal Law, Juvenile Law, Child Protection, and Administrative Licensing Issues, including daycare and other professional license revocations. He has represented clients in cases involving criminal sexual conduct, theft, drug possession, assault, DWI, juvenile delinquency, children in need of protection and services and many other offenses. Eric also has represented those with licensing issues before the Board of Social Work, Board of Nursing, Board of Psychology, and Board of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Eric received his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. Eric developed his advocacy skills during law school through his membership on the Arbitration Advocacy Team, where he competed nationally against other law schools in simulated arbitration cases, and through concentrating his coursework on classes that focused on cultivating and honing courtroom oral advocacy.
During law school, Eric worked as an extern for both the Honorable Rosemarie E. Aquilina at the Ingham County Circuit Court in Michigan, where he observed criminal proceedings and trials and assisted her honor in preparing for hearings. Eric also worked as an extern for the State of Michigan Office of the Attorney General in both the Consumer Protection Division and Charitable Trust Section. Additionally, Eric worked as a Summer Associate for O’Reilly Rancilio P.C., in Sterling Heights, Michigan, working on cases in several business law practice areas and assisting with the prosecution of misdemeanor offenses through the office’s city attorney contract. Prior to law school, Eric worked as an intern for a small immigration law firm in Southwest Michigan. These positions provided Eric with exposure to, and experience with, cases over a wide range of practice areas, which Eric uses to bolster his ability in successfully defending clients in the criminal and child protection arenas.
Eric has also practiced criminal defense as an Assistant Hennepin County Public Defender in the Juvenile Delinquency and Child Protection Divisions.
